He is the most famous personality in entire south asia,he is worshiped as Supreme God among hindus, he is considered as man of perfection, he is known as man of courage and compassion,every parent like to have son of his kind,every bride prays to have partner of his kind ,every soldier look at him of his bravery,like King the people like to have his type of Kingdom(Rama Rajyam),humanity is his religion,many millions adore him of great character, he is Sri Rama.

Maruthi Arjun

After months of busy schedules i finally decided to write a blog on burning issues like threat of taliban to Indus Valley Civilization and Tamil-Sinhalese War. After continuous track of these issues which took many innocent civilians in both Sri lanka and Pakistan and created catastrophe there i have decided to throw some light of the situation there through my created male character Maruthi Arjun) who is selfless young dynamic, fearless and patriotic .The creation of Maruthi Arjun is inspired from Hanuman and Arjun of famous Hindu Epics Ramayana and Mahabharatha who have tremendous following in south asian continent.I am not sure if this is blog at all but i do not want to hide my thoughts regarding these burning issues of South Asian continent and deep respect i have towards the great Indian Epics Ramayana and Mahabharatha.Before going further let me introduce Maruthi Arjun who is doing his PHD in International Studies at Massachusetts Institute of Technology ,Boston.I would not tell more about him right now but you will identify him in coming lines the greatness of this young man then why wait lets go meet Maruthi in NewYork.

Maruthi was one of the few people who were invited for the UN's meet to discuss international issues and possible solutions to defuse tensions between different countries of the world.Maruthi was happy of the fact that he got an invitation for the event but at the same time he was very much worried about situation in India and Srilanka where his elder brother who is a National security guard fighting against terrorists in Mumbai and Sister-in-law, a UNICEF member who was among civilians held by LTTE.Maruthi was given an opportunity to speak about South Asia's growing problems with poverty,terrorism and economy.Maruthi who was emotionally stressed took the center stage to give the short presentation in a given time slot of 3 minutes.

Maruthi: I am honored to be in ever-growing city of New york and to be hosted by United Nations organization for international peace . UN's role in organizing this event to discuss various burning issues through out the world and eager to help countries find a solution is deeply appreciated.I have never imagined i will be in position to speak to diplomats of various countries and it is very cherishing moment but at the same time i am deeply disturbed of the fact my own brother is fighting against evil forces in Mumbai India and my sister-in-law got struck along with many civilians in Tamil-Sinhalese war who else could explain more regarding the ground realities about south asia today other than me.Today you are watching a historical country known for its rich culture which dominated the world for many centuries with its economy is struggling to flush handfull of people who killed many many hostages, brought the country to its knees ,from its posh-five star hotel in India's financial capital Mumbai. India along with China shared the top spot for largest economy for many centuries.Since many hundred years India has always given warm welcome to its foriegn guests,trading partners of-course some of them took advantage of it ruled the country for centuries but still it retains the same spirit when comes to hospitality towards foreigners.Today India and its neighbors Pakistan and Srilanka are suffering from high rates of poverty and shortage of natural resources are troubling them more.If approx 30-40 percent of population is living below poverty line then how will these countries be happy and prosperous and this is also the major cause of the what your are seeing today 26//11 Mumbai Attack where majority of terrorists are from families living way below poverty line.We need help from all major economies of the world but that helping approach should be honest one and trust to beleive in us. We need technology, we need nuclear energy plants, we need collaborations in our space programs ,our strength is our trained human power which is of superior quality.South Asia needs India to be permanent member of UN Security council, i have always been an optimist which is why i still believe the South Asian continent will retain its lost glory. Thank you very much.

Maruthi received standing ovation for his speech which impressed many people,later he calmly came back to seat .After his speech the the event had a closing ceremony with a promise that all the nations will work together with a positive spirit which binds different human civilizations all over the world.Maruthi walks of the building in hurry and calls back home to find out the situation and sees himself relieved a bit to know that the NSG 's have completed their tasks and his brother was wounded though in safe condition.

Maruthi boards Boston bound Acela express to go back home.On his way back home Maruthi gets a call from his brother who was wounded during Operation Tornado Mumbai. Wounded brother urges Maruthi to go help trace his Sister-in-Law who was stuck amid war between LTTE-Srilanka's Army.With this i will end this blog but stay tuned for my next blog about how Maruthi reacts and goes to Srilanka in search of his brother's wife.

Microfinance

I was asking myself what is the special thing i could do in 2009 if i get an opportunity then i thought of Micro finance without any hesitation.I was doing quite bit of research on Micro finance and its institutions and one person who inspired me a lot is Vikram Akula ( chief executive of SKS Microfinance Institution ) who is among Times 100 most influential people .I have started the ground work of gathering some information about services the Micro finance institutions offer but it is very premature for me to think about large scale investment in this field.I have seen how poverty effects people and i feel people who like entrepreneurship and feel of social responsibility should enter this field.

The financing amount can be very small for about 8000Rupees(200 dollars) to some larger value of 1 lakh Rupees(2500 dollars) but main issue to think about is repayment process such as charging interest on them as most companies do because if you need to serve more people u need to have capital funds to flow in to help them.So I don't know where i will stand a year from now but hoping to make some progress in this field.

2008 Insight

It has been a year when whole world will remember with historic events taking place from US Economic crisis to Mumbai 26/11 attacks to Israel/Hamas war. All these events have dominated whole of the year. First half of year was all about US Economic crisis which gave world jitters and analysts say that the worst is yet to come just imagine what is going to happen in 2009. US has been severally hit as most of its top investment banking companies (Lehman brothers) went bankrupt or merged then followed insurance companies(AIG) followed by the Automobile industry which is almost in dying state begging White house to bail them out.The most worrisome factor of all is the US unemployment rate which is now at 6.5 % is rising steadily.The ripple effect of US economic crisis went allover the globe sparing no country with some of the countries(Iceland,Pakistan) went bankrupt.World Bank says 2009 will be most crucial and expects the economic power shift from North America/Europe to China/India/Asia.Its has been a recession year for US/Europe/Japan where as all Asian economies are faring below than expected rate.If we put aside the World economy other factor which has dominated and is of concern is terrorism.The countries which are most effected from terrorism are Iraq,Pakistan,India.US/Bush foreign policy has to be blamed for rise of militancy in Iraq/Afghanistan/Pakistan which has spilled over India and Mumbai 26/11 attacks just proves how badly South-Asia has been effected by terrorism.Middle eastern crisis had also came into limelight with Iran President calling all its Muslim neighbours to group-up in wiping out Israel of the map.Israel-Hamas war is still continuing with Israel vowing to topple Hamas administration.Technology side Google continues to flex its muscle as a leading IT contender and Microsoft still maintining its strong position inspite of Lukewarm response to Windows Vista but news about its plan to Lay off its employees to maintain its profits is a cause of concern for the IT Industry.For India Satyam Computers has given rude shock to its investors in unfair practice of aquiring its family owned Maytas-Infrastructure.This move from the company was backfired from shareholders and demanded an enquiry as its sharevalue came down by 30 percent .Entertainment Industry particulary for Bollywood 2008 has been a above average year with couple of decent hits.Movie of the year in terms of box office revenue is Ghajini which is creating records almost every where thanks to Aamir Khan screen presence,director Murugadoss tight screenplay and producer Allu Aravind marketting strategy is sure to cross 100 crores gross by end of this week.Thats all for 2008 there are lot more to write but will take some other opportunity to present them with that I am ending this blog and wishing u a Happy and Prosperous New year 2009 !....Good Bye

Ghajini Mania

Well I have seen Ghajini (Hindi) which had Aamir Khan in lead and comparing it to its original version in Tamil which had Surya in lead i would say picture perfect.Director Murugadoss has got his logic's right to some extent in newer version and Aamir khan perfect body has taken movie to new heights other wise both of the actors(Surya and Aamir) were competent and last but not least Asin was also great in the movie.....I went shirtless not to imitate Aamir in Ghajini but yes i would definitely like to have perfect body like him in the movie.

My Journey to Hyderabad

Guys you might have heard about ABCD's(America Born Confused Desis) but there are so many ABCH's(Andhra Born Confused Hyderabadi) like me who are struggling up to adjust both the cultures and language dialects.My Dad (native of Secunderabad) worked for Vizag Steel Plant corporation and My mom(native of Hyderabad(Old City)) is Manager at FCI(Food corporation of India) when they got married they had to move from one place to other due to their official transfers,they had rough time for many years and only when i was born in Vizag they decided to stay back there but fortunately both of my sisters were born in Hyderabad and were raised up by grand parents for some time and why i said they are fortunate u will come to know by end of two parts.I started my school life at Visakha Valley(proud to say it was best school in Vizag at that time)where i moved along all kids of different sects(from punjabi to tamilians ) which was interesting and i liked it. Every thing used to go normal but when i get a chance to go to Hyderabad for summer holidays i get excited with joy at the same time one thing creeps up in my mind which is dialect(Hyderabadi accent of Telugu language).Hyderabad excitement was most memorable experience i ever had in my life and my obsession with that just went on .Before the journey plan was executed first thing i used to do is to get the latest Schedule (Time Table) of Trains and second thing is to be with my father on advising or demanding which train we should catch on.This process started when i was 5 years old till many years sometimes even now .I was very much fascinated towards trains and the first train i would enjoy most infact my entire family likes to travel is Godavari Express (Train Number(7007 up-7008 down) old now changed) from Visakhapatnam to Hyderabad.First thing i do when i board the train is to grab the window seat at the cost of fighting with my sisters or making exchange with our companion.I make a cool offer to my sisters after fighting which they always agreed and then starts my world .I go around the compartment to get feel of the train and settle down with Britannia biscuit in hand at the window seat .Godavari express departure time is 4.25 p.m and any delay in departure used to irritate me.When the train starts my whole body shivers with joy and train bogies/coaches count program starts immediately before the train leaves the platform.I always feel proud of Goadavari express and i think it is the most prestigious train of Andhra Pradesh.Initial couple of hours of my journey i would run bogies count program for many times and side seeing till it becomes dark outside when i cannot see.Then I move my focus towards my family and fellow companion.Most scary part of the journey is when Godavari train runs on Godavari Bridge (on Godavari river near Rajhamundry) which is so long .


I would take a break when my mother serves Pullihora(Lemon rice) and when my dinner is done i would get back to the Hot seat.Everything used to go well with dreams of enjoying with my Hyderabad cousins once i reach there and couple of songs imagining myself till Bezawada Station(Vijayawada) comes up around 12.30 A.M which i think is the rival to Vizag.My heart gets broken seeing that Vijayawada(Number 7) platform is very long than Godavari express and Vijayawada station contains more number of platforms than Vizag .Trains halts at Vijayawada for 20 minutes for Engine change and there comes my new feeling.Hyderabad-Vijayawada Route trains run with Electric engines so as Godavari express.When the train starts from vijayawada my excitement doubles with electric engine sound and the speed it runs at.This excitement goes on for some time till i go for nap for an hour and i woke up by the time train reaches Kazipet(Warangal Station).I get up and also disturb my sisters sleep by telling them Hyderabad is near around.

My journey to Hyderabad catches the highest excitement(Happiness at the best) when the trains reaches Hyderabad suburbs(Bibinagar-Ghatkesar) and when train reaches Secunderabad i would be busy seeing the platform and trains on adjacent platform and finally i would never miss to go and see the Electric engine along with my mom which carried Godavari express and with that my Train Journey to Hyderabad ends with my father calling on autowallah and auto uncle responding "Em Sir ekkada povaley"(sir where do you need to go?).
